Google Video Shuts Down

Remember Google Video?  Neither do I.  It was an early attempt by Google to provide an online video service.  It could never compete with the likes of YouTube though, and so Google bought them instead of trying to beat them.  As of 4/29, you will no longer be able to play content from the site, and if you still have content up there, you have until 5/13 to download it before it's history.  Hopefully the Archive Team will be able to scrape as much as possible before the deadline.  You can read more about the project here:

Looks like Google is reversing course.  They've eliminated the looming Apr 29th deadline and is working on ways to automatically migrate over your videos.  You can read more about it here.
