Today we’re releasing v1.0 of AvatarStatus.com to the public.  The site stems from a hackathon proof-of-concept session that we worked on back in August.  The goal of this site is to provide our clients with better visibility into their cloud hosting environment.  The core features of which include:

• Global Alert status and @avatarstatus twitter feed
• Current site status / response time
• Site downtime incident reports
• Monthly bandwidth reports along with estimated costs
• Daily server sizes (when scaled up/down)
• Who’s on call
• Email notification signup form

We used our technology toolset to build the site from the ground up utilizing our service provider’s API’s, Drupal, and front-end frameworks such as Twitter Bootstrap.  And of course the site is responsive for those of you on-the-go.
