This spring and summer we had the exciting opportunity to work with Channel One News rebuilding their news broadcast platform, watched daily by millions of school children nation wide. The rebuild was part of a multiple part project to bring their news product and associated educational supplements entirely online, and, in the process, create opportunities for students and teachers to interact with content both in and out of the classroom, on any device and at any time.

The website launched closely on the heels of the music oriented learning Management System (LMS) project, which was  launched in Februrary. Both education technology platforms are now currently live to the delight and edification of teachers and students returning to the classroom.

Channel One's main goal for the relaunch was to produce a best-in-class education technology and content distribution platform that would serve the immediate and long-term needs of their audience, their news organization as well as their content production team.

The mobile-optimized platform features a CMS with a customized content production workflow, a robust search engine, streaming video capabilities and browsable video archive, and associated curriculum content for paying subscribers.

The new website officially launched as schools opened in August of 2014. The website has shown great improvements in scheduling videos for daily publication, content management workflow and page / content load time. We look forward to working with Channel One News on future projects to continue improving education technology in the classroom.
