As a certified hosting partner of CloudFlare, we were invited try out the private beta of SPDY, an experimental application-layer protocol built on top of TLS, developed by Google for transporting content over the web with minimal latency. Yesterday, CloudFlare announced it's public release, allowing anyone with an SSL-enabled site to become SPDYer without having to make any changes the site code. SPDY works with the latest Chrome, FireFox, and Opera Browsers (sorry Safari). You can test if your browser is compatible here: https://isspdyenabled.com. For more details on the design and implementation, checkout The Chromium Projects Executive Summary. SPDY is one more tool we have in our High Performance Hosting toolbox.
